Our Philosophy

 I have two passions in life - one is to connect with other people, and my second passion is tobacco. Tobacco brings us together, and there are few places in life where people can connect on a level that cigars bring us to. Some of the greatest times of my life have involved enjoying a great cigar.

My desire is to bring the same joy to others that I have found in artisan tobacco products. This is the essence of Lovely Cigars; we want to connect others through great tobacco, and give you lifelong memories to share.

 I'm a man who loves God, my family, my friends, and my purpose in life. I got into the cigar culture years ago and loved what a circle, a good cigar, and a group of friends could produce. Guards are let down over a cigar; people open up over a cigar. The culture of openly sharing while having a cigar is what captivated me to want to produce a cigar that would complement conversations, and not detract from them. 

I don't want our cigar to be "the topic of conversation" amongst your group of friends. I want our cigar to only add to your experience. I want our cigar to cause your group of smoking buddies to stop and say, "This is a great smoke...this cigar truly is lovely".  

I never knew my grandfather. He loved two things, my grandmother and cigars. He left a garage filled with old cigar boxes. I’d have one or two cigars a year with my dad while camping or traveling around the country together. I think cigars reminded my dad of his father.

After my father passed away, cigars brought me nostalgia of those late nights and good stories around the campfire I shared with my dad. It became the routine to relish these memories by having a cigar at his grave each time I’d visit, while updating him on my life. That developed into a love and passion for cigars and the culture. During this time I tried many different sticks and brands; and even worked part time in a local cigar shop.

Cigars create memories. My hope is a Lovely Cigar connects you to someone you love.
